Me, a Uk bloke, politics and anti-Americanism

Firstly hello.

Let me say first of all, that I think that the arguments between people like you and me, Joe Public, ordinary people which revolve around the politics of the left and the right, are pointless and counterproductive.

You can argue your particular side all you like, and all you will do is maintain a platform for propaganda to control you and divide us. Plain and simple.

Secondly, despite my being a UK citizen, you will often read me talking about the USA.
There are many reasons for me concentrating on the importance of the USA in what I write; some of which will become obvious.
The main reason, at this moment in our history is 9/11.

Now I have to state at this point that my opinion is that anybody who believes the official account of what occurred that day is wrong. Not only are you wrong, but you are either an idiot, an honest, trusting person (but basically a brainwashed idiot) or somebody who doesn't really care, in which case you are not really sensible enough to be referred to as an idiot.

I do not profess to know what happened that day, but what I do know is that the official story that was fed to the public to explain what happened that day can not possibly be true.

Until you can accept the fact that you have been lied to and who has lied to you and why, you will continue to exist as the idiot they think you are.

The reason I am here today is because some of you do believe most if not all of what you were told.

I don't have a great deal of patience these days, so I apologise in advance if I am rude to you, but I believe this is even more important, particularly if you have kids, than Christmas presentsor paying your rent.

Let me add at this point that I am not anti-American. I married one. I appreciate the country more than many people who live there.

Anti-Americans come from the imaginary right and the imaginary left.
It's almost perfect. These relatively poor people will never unite to fight a comon enemy, rather they will argue the minutea of gay rights or public welfare, which although important on one level, don't mean anything to today's pantomime politicians and will get you nowhere precisely because our media will have you believe they are important to our politicians.

Anti-Americanism is described quite accurately in my opinion by American war correspondent Martha Gellhorn,

“I’ll tell you what anti-American is, it’s what governments and their vested interests call those who honor America by objecting to war and the theft of resources, and believing in all of humanity.

“There are millions of these ‘anti-Americans’ in the United States. They are ordinary people. They are ordinary people who belong to no elite and who judge their government in moral terms, though they would call it ‘common decency.’ They are not vain. They are the people with a wakeful conscience, the best of America’s citizens. Sure, they disappear from view now and then but they are like seeds beneath the snow. I would say they are truly exceptional.”
